Back to School

On Saturday, April 13, Hubby and I had the opportunity to attend a childbirth express class sponsored by the hospital where Baby will be delivered. The "express" label came from the fact that these classes are usually offered over the course of three weeks, but only on Monday nights. Since Hubby works Monday nights, we signed up for an all-day Saturday class from 9am to almost 3pm that combines the curriculum into a single session. Despite the fact that we were sitting in a classroom for practically an entire "school day," the hours actually went by pretty fast as we learned about the various things we'd need to know to prepare for birth. The day began with free bagels, muffins, coffee (sadly no decaf) and introductions by the attendees--approximately 10 moms to be with their significant others (and one with her own mom). The presenter, Amy, also introduced herself as an RN and went over the curriculum for the day. We covered warning signs of preterm labor,

Maternity Photo Shoot!

This couple did their maternity photo shoot at Build-a-Bear, and the results will amaze you! ;) The photos are here! The photos are here! Yes, the photos from our April 7, 2019 maternity shoot arrived on April 16, so it's now the perfect time to not only share our favorites, but post about the entire photo shoot experience: We arrived at the mall on Sunday morning about 20 minutes before the scheduled time for the shoot in order to make it on time. She showed us the display she'd set up with superhero outfits and emphasized that if anything n

It started last Saturday where a stressful week prompted me to finally ask my husband if we could attempt an experiment I'd been contemplating: milk bath photos. If you've never heard of pregnancy milk bath photos, a quick  Google search  will reveal this latest photography trend. And while I'm not normally one to follow trends (I didn't do a gender reveal party and I'm sticking with a non-co-ed baby shower), there was a small part of me that just wanted to see what it was like--and to experience as many things about pregnancy that I wanted to before it's over. However, since I was already spending money on a professional photographer for maternity photos later in the week, this was an exp
