Today (a poem about Mommy and Son)
(Written April 17, 2021 and finished on April 22, 2021)
Today we went to the library
Smeared cream cheese on our lips
At the café
And picked up drive thru tacos
When we got home
We played cars
And read books
And tickled
And splashed
And blew bubbles
And sang--Old MacDonald and Baby Shark
I caught a bubble for you
You caught one too
We tried on new sandals
And walked outside
Sat on the steps
And made silly faces
We opened up packages
And took pictures together
We giggled
And grinned
Cuddled and hugged
And there weren't any tantrums or tears
I live for days like these
Just Mommy
And you
You won't remember
Today was perfect
But I will.
